"The University of Oxford has not utilised Year 12 AS grades or marks as a metric when assessing an applicant's suitability either for interview or for an offer, so your proposed change will not have any direct impact upon our admissions process. Given the expansion in provision of the IB and probably introduction of the Pre-U, neither of which has a public examinations element in Year 12, and the likelihood that other schools and colleges offering A-level will take a similar approach to that under consideration at Tonbridge, the issues that you have raised over the potential drawbacks will be addressed through other means.
